Okay this just came up and may sound incredibly stupid to some of yall but here goes anyways. Wouldn't it be awesome to receive free points at the beginning of each year and for your birthday, 10,000 at the least would be great. For new sign ups for the Zone could receive 1000 as start up points. What do you all think? I got this idea from another site I go to and was just throwing it out.

Also, I think a point bonus when you're celebrating your birthday, is a good idea.

yeah! points for your birthday! why not? birthday presents are good and importantt. and i agree, you should be able to give or loan points to other users. but hey, that would be a lot of work.
500 start up points after signing up well I never noticed it is why I brought it up but It'd be awesome to exchange points with other users. I like that one as well.

Christmas and Birthdays I could understand getting points on but the rest of the holidays still not sure of that.

The only slight problem with the giving points idea, is let's say I have given someone one hundred grand in points, they might use them in two eeks and ask for more. Justa thought because Iknow I might be like that, grins when blackjakc kicks my ass. Smiles. But birthday is a good idea and maybe the New year. I likeit and Chris what site did you get this idea from.
I like the idea a lot, why don't the CLs or admins add a coment here?
I am in agreement with increasing points. I have said this before and will say it again. We should be allowed to risk all of our points on high low if we want to. For those of us who have points in the millions, it's rather boring to just advance only 10,000 points at a shot.

I like the thought of New Year, Xmas, and Birthday points AND giving others some of your points too - Plus why not loyalty points as well??

Loyalty Points is another great idea and I wish the Admins and Community Leaders would reply to this.

Alright, you want a reply, lol you got one! Alright, I personally like the whole idea of giving out points for a birthday, or for a holiday...those are good. I think that it should only be like 5000 points though, instead of 10000, but I don't like the idea of users giving other points to users. Even though you really can't do anything with your points right now, the fact that you didn't earn them...well, doesn't strike very well with me for some odd reason. Anyways, I will direct either J or Chris to this topic, and tell them your suggestions in brief soon. In the meantime, keep em coming!
Update: Just talked with one of the admins about this, he's against users exchanging points with each other as well, so, sorry folks, don't think that one will happen.

I don't think birthday points would work, cause you could just change the date. I think it's fine the way it is.
Now if you are premium, you can bet up to 10,000 points or 20% of your total number of points, whichever is greater. We'll see how this works in practice and may remove it if problems arise. Points are tricky things, you know.

I don't think so. If standart members had the same features as premiums there wouldn't be a reason for somebody to buy a membership. That's how websites work. Livejernal, skype, hotmail and any other website have got some advance features for premium members.
